E-learning for skills upgrading has grown through the joint efforts of agencies and partners in the community. In the first half of 2020, there were about 100,000 training places for e-learning courses funded by SkillsFuture Singapore, compared with 600 in 2019. The number of approved e-learning courses surged from 60 in December 2019 to more than 2,800 in September this year. Minister of State for Manpower Gan Siow Huang, who gave this update in reply to Parliamentary questions on Thursday (Oct 15), also highlighted the progress of various initiatives to support e-learning.
