Singapore had been seeing good progress with its Industry Transformation Maps (ITMs) since they were launched in 2016, but this was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Strategies for all 23 sectors will be updated to keep abreast of accelerated changes in digitalisation, innovation and internationalisation, to further lift workers’ productivity and wages. The aim is to complete this next year, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat told Parliament on Monday (Apr 5), in response to MPs’ questions.
