A year ago, militants linked to the Islamic State terror group overran Marawi in southern Philippines, sparking a battle with government troops for supremacy. Although the fighting ended seven months ago, housing has become a pressing issue. About 11,000 families remain in temporary shelters, unable to return to their homes.
