There will be stiffer penalties to curb drink driving and dangerous driving. They include minimum jail terms for dangerous driving causing grievous hurt or death, as well as possible disqualification for life for those who are repeatedly caught for drink drinking. During the second reading of the Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill in Parliament on Monday (Jul 8), Second Minister for Home Affairs Josephine Teo outlined a slew of measures targeting motorists who have a blatant disregard for the safety of other road users.
