Lam Pin Min on cosmetic surgery among minors(Updated: )
In the past five years, one person under the age of 18 went through cosmetic surgery in a public hospital. This was revealed by Senior Minister of State for Health Lam Pin Min, in response to questions from MP Chia Shi-Lu in Parliament on Monday (Sep 10). Dr Lam also said the Health Ministry will consider starting to track data from private hospitals, and consult the Academy of Medicine about whether specific guidelines should be instituted for plastic surgery in minors.
