Lawrence Wong on 'strong collaborative and collegial culture' of teachers(Updated: )
Singapore's teaching fraternity has a "strong collaborative and collegial culture", said Education Minister Lawrence Wong. This culture is driven by mutual support, shared responsibilities, common beliefs about student learning and well-being, and an emphasis on innovation. Speaking in reply to Parliamentary questions on Thursday (Oct 15), he said MOE does not find any particular concerns about teachers not being able to collaborate with one another. About eight in 10 teachers said their school has a collaborative culture, while 92 per cent said they can rely on one another.
