Singapore has unveiled a S$48 billion supplementary budget to save jobs, support workers and protect livelihoods. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat called it the Resilience Budget. Outlining its key features in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 26), he said it is a landmark package that is necessary for a unique situation. “Should it become necessary, I am prepared to propose to the President further draws on past reserves to deal with the situation,” he said.
