Ong Ye Kung on e-exams and collaboration with Cambridge(Updated: )
Students could be taking more exams electronically in future, but the readiness of schools and students must be carefully considered. Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung said this in Parliament on Monday (Feb 11) in response to questions raised by five MPs. They had asked about e-exams and marking exams electronically, after the latest incident of exam papers going missing in the UK. Mr Ong said almost all GCE-level written scripts will be marked electronically by the end of this year. He also said the collaboration with Cambridge in developing and marking major exams is "worthwhile keeping".
