Ong Ye Kung on secure, tamper-proof, verifiable and mutually recognised COVID-19 vaccination certificates(Updated: )
Singapore is exploring mutual recognition of vaccination certificates with several countries and regions, said Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung. The certificates can be physical or digital. They must be secure, tamper-proof and verifiable. Mr Ong, who said this in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Monday (Apr 5), said vaccinations are only one aspect of pandemic control. Social distancing, contact tracing and quarantine and testing are also very important. He said Singapore will continue to evaluate situations elsewhere and explore the possibility of restoring safe air travel.
