Tan Chuan-Jin on COVID-19 safe distancing measures for Parliament sittings(Updated: )
Members will sit at spaced intervals, spread out and over two floors. They will also take their refreshments in separate groups, as part of safe distancing measures for Parliament sessions. Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin, who outlined the precautionary steps on Wednesday (Mar 25), said it is “not business as usual” as Singapore battles COVID-19. "We have done it before for SARS and H1N1, and such collective social responsibility by Singapore and Singaporeans is how we will ultimately prevail over the spectre of COVID-19,” he said.
