Mediacorp’s Malay and Tamil news and current affairs go online

SINGAPORE — MediaCorp launched two online portals for Malay and Tamil news and current affairs today (Jan 5).

MediaCorp Berita and MediaCorp Seithi are now live, and will offer all major developments within and outside Singapore, as well as key events of interest to the communities.

Both portals will have breaking news, with news video clips uploaded as they happens, as well as contributions from eye-witnesses. The portals will also host financial, business and sports news.

Each website will also have current affairs programmes that have been aired on Suria and Vasantham.

Berita’s Lifestyle/Literary segments will host updates from the Malay literary and artistic world, while Seithi offers Bollywood and Kollywood screenings, reviews and and trailers.

In addition, there will be a mobile app introduced in March this year, which will optimise the content for mobile and tablet devices. The app will be free, and is enabled for iOS and Android devices.
