SINGAPORE: Woodlands Regional Library had to be closed temporarily after water leaked from a burst pipe, the National Library Board (NLB) said on Monday afternoon (Apr 8).
The pipe was located at a toilet on the third floor of the library, NLB told CNA on Tuesday, the same day it reopened.
The second floor of the library was still closed for cleaning and repair works on Tuesday and will reopen on Wednesday, it added.
NLB apologised for the temporary closure of the library in Woodlands, and directed visitors to nearby libraries in Sembawang and Yishun.
“Dear visitors, Woodlands Regional Library will be temporarily closed today due to water leakage from a burst pipe. The library will reopen tomorrow, Apr 9, 2019,” the notice on Monday said. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
