Inside a museum of rare vintage bags in George Town, Penang
The Private Collection of Vintage Bags is housed in a 130-year-old heritage shophouse.
It was opened in 2024 by avid Singaporean collector Tina Lim.
The museum is a treasure trove of over 350 bags dating all the way from the 1930s to 1990s.
It is designed as a journey through fashion history, with each bag marking a distinct moment in time.
Many of the bags reflect Lim’s personality – eclectic, playful and whimsical.
Highlights include a Christmas Tree bag by Timmy Woods, a brand made famous in Sex and the City.
