In his final will executed in 2013, Mr Lee said he wanted the house demolished, or if that were not possible, closed to everyone except family and descendants.

The owner of the site is an entity called 38 Oxley Road Pte Ltd. It is wholly owned by Mr Lee’s youngest son, Lee Hsien Yang, and lists the younger Mr Lee’s son, Li Huanwu, as its sole director. It has until Nov 17 to submit an appeal.
