Ang Wei Neng on Dental Registration (Amendment) Bill

More dentists should be trained in Singapore as part of efforts to improve dental care, said MP Ang Wei Neng in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2). The National University of Singapore could increase the intake for its dentistry course, or another dental school could be opened at Nanyang Technological University. This would prevent many Singaporeans and PRs from having to get their dentistry degrees overseas. Mr Ang also asked that dental subsidies be extended to all CHAS cardholders and that all companies be made to provide workers with dental benefits.
