The proposed enhancements under the Child Development Co-Savings (Amendment) Bill will encourage workplace cultures to be more family-friendly, said MP Carrie Tan. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2), she called for more administrative clarity for self-employed parents on paternity and maternity benefits, differentiated and higher ratio child development savings match for low-income families, as well as equalised cash support in the Baby Bonus - possibly renamed "Baby Support" - to children of unwed parents.
