Chan Chun Sing on trials for COVID-19 vaccination for children under 12

The Expert Committee on COVID-19 Vaccination is still monitoring ongoing trials for children under the age of 12. It will assess if the vaccine can be administered to them and will make recommendations to the Health Ministry at the appropriate time. Education Minister Chan Chun Sing, who said this in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2), stressed the importance of "managing risks and balancing trade-offs". He said the past few months have given Singapore more confidence in striking a better balance, and ensuring that children can grow and learn in a sustainable way.
