Committee of Supply 2019 debate, Day 3: Liang Eng Hwa on the ‘hub’ way for Singapore to stay ahead

Singapore should continue to bank on its value as a leading hub in the region by investing in and upgrading its physical connectivity to stay ahead of the pack, MP Liang Eng Hwa said in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4). Noting that other countries have similar aspirations and are learning from the Singapore experience, he asked the Ministry of Trade and Industry on its plans to help anchor Singapore as a key node in global trade flows.
