Grace Fu on penalties for cleaning industry PWM breaches

The National Environment Agency has imposed financial penalties on 57 licensed cleaning businesses and issued warning letters to 52 cleaning firms for failing to comply with requirements under the Progressive Wage Model. These include failure to pay bonuses and progressive wages. Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu, who gave this update in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2), stressed that enforcement checks will continue to be conducted to drive the adoption of good practices and professionalise the industry.
