Janil Puthucheary on ensuring access to affordable mental health care

Various support measures are in place to ensure that Singaporeans have access to affordable mental health care, said Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2). He outlined details for both outpatient and inpatient treatment, and said the Government is also working with private insurers to optimise mental health coverage. He was responding to MPs’ questions in light of the adverse effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health.
