All dental graduates from foreign universities wanting to apply for conditional registration in Singapore will have to take a qualifying examination, under a Bill put up for debate in Parliament on Monday (Aug 2). This includes those with degrees on a recognised list, which will also be reviewed for the first time in over a decade. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said the aim is to ensure that foreign-trained dentists continue to effectively meet the needs of Singapore’s ageing population.
