Koh Poh Koon on Multilateral Healthcare Insurance Committee to improve insurance system

A 12-member Multilateral Healthcare Insurance Committee is working towards improving Singapore’s healthcare insurance system. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said it is a platform for healthcare providers, payers, consumer representatives and the Government to work on issues related to health insurance. Speaking in reply to questions from MPs in Parliament on Monday (May 10), he outlined the scope of the committee. He also highlighted the merits of pre-authorisation as the "better way" and stressed the need to ensure that the process is much more streamlined and seamless.
