Koh Poh Koon on tracking changing patterns in informal caregiving

Since the National Survey on Informal Caregiving was conducted in 2012, the Government has continued to track evolving trends through research studies, consultations with partners and stakeholders in the care sector, and focus groups which could involve the public and grassroots networks. These gave rise to the Caregiver Support Action Plan in 2019. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said the strategy was likely more effective than an MP’s suggestion to conduct a survey every five years or include a caregiving section in the census. He spoke in Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 3).
