An initiative to help mid-career workers secure traineeships is not gaining traction as fast as hoped. Manpower Minister Josephine Teo said these job seekers are generally more selective than fresh graduates. About 430 of them have landed attachments under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme. A similar programme for fresh graduates, which began two months earlier in June, has seen more than 4,700 placements.
