Ministerial statement: Gan Kim Yong on restoring economic activities in a 'COVID-resilient' state

As Singapore achieves relatively high vaccination coverage, most people will be protected against COVID-19, so businesses will largely be able to return to normal operations and the country will progressively open up to other nations that have managed the pandemic well, said Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong in Parliament on Monday (Jul 26). He urged businesses to prepare for reopening by facilitating the vaccination of eligible staff, integrating rapid self-testing into work processes, and continuing to allow flexible work arrangements and putting in place business continuity plans.
