Murali Pillai on commemorating 200 years of the Singapore Police Force

In Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 3), MP Murali Pillai highlighted the contributions of retired police officers and shared the stories of some who were present in the House. Those 30 officers had served 1,040 years between them, many having joined the force in the 1960s and 1970s, when law and order problems were rife. Mr Murali also paid tribute to police officers killed in the line of duty, as well as their families. He called for retired officers and families of fallen officers to be given a meaningful token to show the nation’s indebtedness to them.
