Prison initiative aims to use chess to help inmates stay away from crime

Inmates at Changi Prison are calling checkmate on their life of crime. Through chess, the Singapore Prison Service aims to help rehabilitate inmates and lower rates of reoffending. The initiative with the Singapore Chess Federation will see a team of inmates compete in an international online competition in October. Aslam Shah looks at how chess is changing the lives of inmates.
