S Iswaran on review of use and production of sustainable aviation fuel

Singapore is reviewing ways to use and produce sustainable aviation fuel to reduce carbon emissions. Transport Minister S Iswaran said this in reply to a Parliamentary question on Tuesday (Aug 3). He said the Government and industry players have studied the operational and commercial viability of sustainable aviation fuels at Changi Airport. Government agencies are reviewing the options to integrate these fuels with traditional jet fuel, viable feedstock-technology combinations for sustainable aviation fuel production, and ways to facilitate uptake and production of these fuels in Singapore.
