S Iswaran on strict health protocols for drivers ferrying SHN-bound travellers

All travellers from high-risk places have to take dedicated transport to their Stay-Home Notice (SHN) facility. Strict public health protocols are in place to ensure that drivers are protected. Private chartered buses only ferry travellers from the checkpoints to the SHN facility. Bus drivers have to wear personal protective equipment. They are fully vaccinated and have to take routine COVID-19 tests. Travellers must sit in the rear section. These are part of the measures to protect workers, outlined by Transport Minister S Iswaran in reply to Parliamentary questions on Tuesday (Jul 6).
