Chan Chun Sing warns against vigilantism from adults in school bullying incidents

02:22 Min

Education Minister Chan Chun Sing has warned against going on social media or to schools to threaten staff when there is a case of bullying. He urged the public to exercise restraint in their response when incidents do occur, and to let schools and the authorities handle them. Mr Chan stressed that the ministry takes a firm stance against bullying, and that vigilantism — whether online or in real life — can hurt, rather than protect. He was responding to MPs who asked about the recent allegations of assault at Admiralty Secondary School.
