A new global initiative to “beat the heat” by cutting emissions from cooling and boosting resilience to extreme temperatures has been launched at the UN’s COP30 climate talks in Brazil. Singapore’s ambassador for climate action says this platform is just what the world needs to turn climate promises into real projects, by sharing know-how, making investments less risky and helping proven solutions spread from country to country.
