Sylvia Lim on COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment No. 2) Bill

As Singapore moves towards economic recovery while COVID-19 support programmes are being scaled down or stopped, the recovery has been uneven across sectors, said MP Sylvia Lim. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Apr 5), she voiced concerns that many businesses and individuals continue to suffer the adverse impact of the pandemic and are unable to pivot to other business models. One concern revolves around the need to give individuals and businesses continued breathing space from insolvency proceedings. She sought clarifications on various clauses of the Bill.
