Tan See Leng on review of transition targeted support for aviation and tourism-related sectors

The lifting of travel restrictions is likely to be slow with the emergence of more transmissible strains of COVID-19, said Manpower Minister Tan See Leng. The Government, which has been providing targeted support to sectors such as aviation, aerospace and hospitality, will continue to closely monitor the impact of COVID-19. Replying to an MP's questions in Parliament on Tuesday (Jul 27), he said the Government is reviewing the provision of targeted support so that core capabilities can be preserved to enable the sectors to capture the growth that will come with eventual recovery.
