Tan See Leng on support for workers in temporary COVID-related roles

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 15,000 workers have been placed into public sector or Government-funded short-term roles to support COVID-19 operations such as swabbing, quarantine operations, implementing safe management measures and patient care. These roles are still needed but when demand for them tapers, help will be available - if required - to match the workers to new permanent jobs. Manpower Minister Tan See Leng elaborated on this in Parliament on Monday (Jul 26), in response to MPs’ questions.
