Tin Pei Ling on empowering women

The journey towards empowering women in Singapore is a long one, said MP Tin Pei Ling in Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 3). She referred to a 2017 motion moved by herself and four other PAP MPs on strategies to help women achieve their aspirations. These included supporting caregivers to free them to pursue their goals and helping women be future-ready, such as through digital fluency. She noted progress made since then, such as co-located childcare and eldercare facilities, availability of flexi-work and more females taking up info-tech in university.
