White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Masagos Zulkifli on the next bound of progress for women

19:03 Min

Singapore women have made tremendous progress over the decades, thanks to intentional efforts by the Government. However, it is time to move from quantitative achievement to qualitative development, said Social and Family Development Minister Masagos Zulkifli in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5). He emphasised that this will require a collective effort, with men stepping up to help build an equal partnership with women in what is “not a zero-sum game”. He also spoke about Government-led initiatives to support caregivers and their families, adding that the community also has an important role to play. Mr Masagos revealed that the Prime Minister will launch a travelling exhibition later this month on “Celebrating Singapore Women”.
