Zaqy Mohamad on entry for migrant domestic workers amid COVID-19 challenges

Arrangements are being made to bring in migrant domestic workers whose arrivals had been delayed due to the higher risks of COVID-19 in their home countries. Since May, there were about 1,800 postponements. Two-thirds will be rescheduled progressively by the end of the year. Plans are underway for a third to enter Singapore. Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad, who gave this update in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Monday (Jul 26), said they were prioritised for families with "very challenging caregiving needs".
