    Enchanting trip to famous mountain (Part 1)

    Join us as we embark on a four-day trip from Okutama to Nagatoro to visit famous mountains. Start by travelling for about two hours from Shinjuku to Okutama via the Chuo Line and Ome Line. At Okutama, buy some lunch boxes from a restaurant on the second floor of the station. Popular choices include the pork bowl with homemade salt-marinated rice malt, and wasabi croquettes.

    We continue our 300-kilometre hot spring road trip from Kusatsu to Hakone. On the second day, enjoy a dinner of seasonal dishes at your hotel in Funayama Onsen. Feast on appetizers featuring edible wild plants such as wormwood and bamboo shoot; char and horse sashimi; grilled char fish; handmade soba with grated radish; miso-flavoured wild boar hot pot; and seasoned rice cooked with bamboo shoot.

    Road Trip to Hot Springs (Part 1)

    Join us as we embark on a 300-kilometre road trip from Kusatsu to Hakone in spring. We will check out several hot springs and scenic spots and also savour local delicacies. Start by going to a large open-air bath in Kusatsu before driving towards Shinyu Onsen in Tateshina. Enjoy the view of Mt. Asama, one of the world’s largest active volcanoes, as you enter Nagano prefecture.

    Enjoy the winter atmosphere of Nagano

    This week, we embark on a two-day trip to Kita-Shinsyu in winter. We start by taking a bus from Nagano to Togakushi, also known as a “ninja town”. In the past, it used to be a training place for mountain ascetics. The first place we will visit is Togakushi Shrine. It has a history of over 2,000 years and attracted many monks in the past.
