AI widening divide between the haves and have-nots: UN Special Envoy Amandeep Singh Gill
Energy leaders are in Abu Dhabi for the ADIPEC energy conference. The United Arab Emirates' energy minister said he expects increased oil demand going into next year, with enormous demands from artificial intelligence and data centres. Meanwhile, the chief executive of UAE oil giant ADNOC said there is volatility due to geopolitics and near-term uncertainty, but he remains optimistic on long-term demand. Mr Amandeep Singh Gill, the UN's Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies, shared with CNA on how artificial intelligence is widening the divide between the haves and have-nots.
