We thank Mr Francis Cheng Choon Fei for his feedback (“Malls ought to carry out Covid-19 safe-management checks once they open”; Dec 6) and would like to take this opportunity to clarify his comments about SafeEntry procedures undertaken by Bedok Mall.

In line with the authorities’ guidelines, all CapitaLand malls, including Bedok Mall, conduct temperature screening and SafeEntry registration at the entrances during the malls' opening hours, typically from 10am to 10pm.

Retailers, such as supermarkets, which may start business operations before the malls' opening hours, are likewise required to roll out their own temperature screening and SafeEntry check-in procedures whenever shoppers enter their stores.

This facilitates contact tracing of visitors to these stores, when required by the authorities.

We would like to thank shoppers for their understanding and cooperation in practising SafeEntry registration when visiting CapitaLand malls and our retailers.

With our joint efforts, we hope to provide a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for all.
