Programme available for immobile seniors to get discounts through caregivers: NTUC FairPrice

We thank the writer for his suggestion in the letter, “NTUC FairPrice should allow caregivers of seniors to shop on their behalf on discount days” (Jan 10).

FairPrice has an existing programme to enable family members or caregivers to shop on the behalf of seniors who are immobile due to long-term medical reasons.

The programme, called Seniors Discount Scheme for Immobile Seniors (SDC), covers the Pioneer Generation, Merdeka Generation and seniors’ discount schemes, for purchases made on the respective discount days.
