Not only famous for its collagen-rich soup base, Beauty in The Pot is well-known among the health-conscious and foodies for its fresh, high quality ingredients

Now, the restaurant has opened its fifth outlet at The Star Vista. To mark the occasion, a limited-run shrimp soup base is making an appearance from July 6 to 31.

A collaboration with Paradise Group sister restaurant, Le Shrimp Ramen, the rich broth is a result of fresh large prawns baked at 180°C for 45 minutes, then hand-ground to a fine texture and added to the soup.

Adding complexity to the heady brew are premium conpoy for that velvety umami, and after steeping for eight hours, spices such as star anise, cinnamon, clove and white peppercorns finish off the soup base with a piquant kick.

Drop in some of the handmade balls, dumplings, pastes and famous fish tofu, and see the crustacean flavours work their way into the ingredients. The sweet and savoury soup elevates the hotpot experience and will no doubt please seafood fans and loyalists who want to switch up from the usual broth options.

A SETTING AS RICH AS THEIR BROTHS

Bubbling hotpots may stir up enviable food shots, but Beauty in The Pot has upped the game with a ’gram-worthy theme for the new branch at The Star Vista.

Celebrating the modern woman, the hotpot restaurant is bedecked in old-world glamour and romantic Art Deco. Walking in through the classical facade of a bygone era, you’ll find a dramatic colour palette of pinks, corals and seafoam.

The dining area features a classical alcove ceiling for a luxurious setting and the feature wall with coloured mirrors will surely be a popular backdrop for some photo ops. Specially commissioned art pieces under the theme “Beauty in the house” celebrate the achievements of powerful women. The effect is as empowering as it is cosy and chic, and is likely to become a visual sensation.
