The Specialty Dynasty xiao long bao, an innovative signature collection of international flavours, has made waves in the culinary scene. The eight flavours – original, ginseng, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, garlic and Szechuan – are now joined by a ninth. These delicious and nutritious dumplings are not available for ordering, and only valid for redemption with every order of the Specialty Dynasty xiao long bao from now till Jan 31, 2019. Thankfully, there’s no need to share as each basket will have five pieces of the Beauty Collagen xiao long bao.
ANOTHER SIDE OF LUXURY
Everything tastes better in the right setting. Paradise Dynasty has always created striking yet comfortable settings for its diners, and the new outlet at Wisma Atria is no different.
There’s a soft blush of rose gold and pink that gives the interior a comforting hue, fronted by white timber textures that exude a gentle welcome. You’ll dine within a space of white marble and grey, a colour palette designed to create a relaxed yet classy ambience.
A TASTE THAT NEVER GROWS OLD
The stars of any restaurant still remain on the plate, of course. Paradise Dynasty at Wisma Atria has added new creations designed to reinvent traditional classics. Favourites like the Century Egg with Vinaigrette and Chilli Oil, and Wok-fried Shanghai Flour Cake with Minced Pork and Vegetables are stunning visually and gastronomically, but you might also want to try the new dishes exclusive to the Wisma Atria outlet.
The Fried Rice with Crab Roe is sure to be a hit. Combining the fluffy fragrance of eggy fried rice and the sharper tang of crab roe, the delicious pairing sees a classic dish drenched in a rich, piquant gravy.
The delicate yellow croaker makes a special appearance in two renditions. The steamed version with fermented rice and Chinese wine swims in a clear pool of its own juices, punctuated by slivers of condiments that lend their flavour to the fish. If you’re looking for a bit more crunch, the spring roll version is a crispy winner.
Don’t forget your vegetables. Reinforcing the restaurant’s dedication to working with the ingredients’ original flavours, the Stir-fried Fresh Organic Bamboo Shoot with Bacon is an example of a perfect pairing, fusing the sweet of the shoots with the smoky goodness of the savoury meat.
If you see black orbs in bamboo baskets, those will be the Steamed Salted Egg Yolk Charcoal Bun. It’s a richer experience than the usual custard version and the distinctive saltiness is supported by the bold fluffy buns.
EXPERT TOUCHES
Old or new, all your favourites will be prepared lovingly by Chef Du Rendong (Chef Dong) and Chef Wu Baobing. The former hails from Hunan, China, and has been perfecting his skills in making exquisite dim sum since he was 17. With over 20 years of experience, each one of his handmade items is a culinary delight.
Chef Baobing brings in the flavours of the wok into his menu items. The Yangzhou native uses over 23 years of kitchen skills to ensure that unmistakable touch from the Chinese wok.
