Platforms available for everyone to create online courses

We thank Mr Gary Lim for his feedback on promoting cost-effective learning for life (“Tap expertise of retirees to boost SkillsFuture programmes”; Jan 11).

The Institute for Adult Learning Singapore offers a range of continuing and professional development programmes, including the “Create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) with Google Course Builder” workshop.

This hands-on workshop takes learners through the basic steps of developing e-learning content for MOOC. More information on the programmes is available at ial.edu.sg

For individuals with a basic knowledge of creating online courses, the Learning Space is a portal that provides a flexible learning environment and tools for online content development, sharing, communication and collaboration.

It also allows progressive learning in designing, developing and hosting e-learning. Interested individuals may visit the platform at learningspace.sg for more information.
