Taking place from 14 to 23 March 2025, the Five Footway Festival celebrates the iconic covered walkways of Singapore’s historic shophouses, known as ‘five-footways’. It also honours Chinatown’s storied past through a line-up of activities - from guided tours and meet-and-greets with stilt walkers to a Chinese Opera Roving Exhibition. Chinatown Business Association’s Yick Suan Lim, will also talk about hands-on workshops such as plate spinning, kaya-making, Chinese ink painting, Teochew png kueh making, and more.

His Excellency Agustín García-López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico to Singapore and Chung Sang Hong, Deputy Director, National Library (Exhibitions) will talk about the themes and messages behind some of the 23 paintings and photographs, and what Covarrubias’ signature style was like.
