Indonesia’s long‑time and highly respected Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, has been removed from President Prabowo Subianto’s Cabinet in a sweeping reshuffle. The reshuffle also involved the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The announcement follows two weeks of escalating protests.
