Dr Grace Chew's journey is as colourful and meaningful as her paintings. She is a visual artist, a former cabin crew member with SIA, a marathoner, a former Mrs Singapore World winner — and a successful management consultant with a PhD in international business management. Much of her drive to excel stems from the adversity she had to overcome in her earlier years. She shares the most valuable lessons she's gained by persevering through the setbacks and constantly reinventing herself.

Dr Grace Chew also shares how she's preparing for her first solo art exhibition, aptly titled Transformation, which will be held from 24-26 Oct 2025.

In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out what’s new at the ongoing Singapore Night Festival 2025, which has returned to the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct for its 16th edition. Festival Director Qazim Karim, explains how SNF 2025 celebrates Singapore’s 60th year of independence as an island nation with the theme, Island Nights. Karim will highlight the installations, performances, projection mapping attractions and immersive experiences that celebrate Singapore’s heritage, across the BBB precinct. Neon artist Megan Foo will talk about her work, Waves of Time: Splash On Our Skyline which showcases a tribute to Bugis’ maritime past using glass neon elements.

77 food court managers from Koufu have received training from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to help identify early indicators of potential abuse like bruises or unusual behaviour.
