Dr Grace Chew's journey is as colourful and meaningful as her paintings. She is a visual artist, a former cabin crew member with SIA, a marathoner, a former Mrs Singapore World winner — and a successful management consultant with a PhD in international business management. Much of her drive to excel stems from the adversity she had to overcome in her earlier years. She shares the most valuable lessons she's gained by persevering through the setbacks and constantly reinventing herself.

Dr Grace Chew also shares how she's preparing for her first solo art exhibition, aptly titled Transformation, which will be held from 24-26 Oct 2025.

They also have to vote which chef’s dishes they prefer: Fancy’s bold new flavours or Nancy’s timeless classics. In ‘Culture Club’ Melanie Oliveiro speaks with award-winning Malaysian actor Ghafir Akbar, now starring in the restaged version of HOTEL by theatre company Wild Rice. Billed as a multi-generational epic, HOTEL spans a century and is performed for over five hours in nine languages. Ghafir will discuss the production’s timeless appeal, his characters, as well as the hotel’s other residents which include Indian mutineers, Cantonese nannies, Malay film stars, Japanese soldiers, and wedding guests. He’ll also talk about how acting is a passion and lifelong career.
