While Lim Sing Hui was in the airforce, her father passed away in a hospice. The gloomy environment in that particular facility left a mark on Sing Hui. A few years later, after retiring from the airforce in her early-forties, Sing Hui took an opportunity to join the hospice sector, driven by the belief that she could help make the last leg of a patient's journey more meaningful and dignified. Sing Hui, who is today an operations and admin manager with HCA Hospice, shares the courage it took to make such a career transition and what she'd say in a letter to her younger self.
