In ‘Destination Anywhere’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out where art lovers can go to see the original works of four legendary Singapore artists: Han Sai Por, Goh Beng Kwan, Ong Kim Seng and the late Chua Ek Kay – all of them Cultural Medallion recipients. Titled “Material Moves” the exhibition celebrates their remarkable contributions and legacy within the local art scene. Ong Kim Seng, world renowned award-winning Singaporean watercolourist will talk about his new artworks, specially created in collaboration with STPI. In ‘Culture Club’, Melanie Oliveiro speaks with IanYS, guitarist and songwriter-producer, now representing Singapore on the Grammy-considered LP “World Album”. The album is the first one of its kind in history to feature artists from every country in the world. Ian will talk about his track “The Distance”, created with American singer-songwriter JEMY, which addresses a toxic relationship. He’ll also recall his beginnings in songwriting and how he broke into the Brazilian music scene with his lo-fi single “Idas E Vindas” which garnered over 240,000 streams across various platforms.
